League play will be held every Tuesday at 7 PM.
In the event of inclement weather, matches will be rescheduled for Saturday or Sunday of the same week, time TBD on a case-by-case basis.
The league will feature a blind draft format. The 4 highest DUPR-rated registrants will be designated as team captains. These captains will meet before the league starts to draft their teams, with the highest-rated captain picking last.
Each team will have 4 players: 2 men and 2 women.
On signup, only 8 men and 8 women can register. Any additional men or women will be added to the waitlist and can be used as an alternate or substitution, free of charge.
4 teams per division.
Each team will consist of 2 women and 2 men.
Each team will play 4 matches per session:
If the session ends in a tie (e.g., both teams win two matches each), a special tiebreaker called the Dreambreaker will be played.
The Dreambreaker is a singles-based tiebreaker where all players from each team compete, rotating every 4 points.
The Dreambreaker round is scored using rally scoring, played to 21 points, win by 2, and a team can only win on its serve.
All matches (including Dreambreaker rounds) will use rally scoring (points are scored on every serve, regardless of which team serves).
All games (except the Dreambreaker round) are played to 15 points, win by 2.
Matches and Dreambreakers can only be won by the serving team.
Each week, one team will be designated the “home team,” and the other will be the “away team.”
For the mixed doubles round, the away team presents their lineup first, and the home team selects their matchups based on this lineup.
If a Dreambreaker occurs, the home team presents its lineup first.
All participants are required to have a DUPR rating before the draft.
All match results will be submitted to DUPR for official rating updates.
The 1st seed will play against the 4th seed, and the 2nd seed will play against the 3rd seed. Seeds will be determined based on win-loss records from the regular season.
The winners from Week 7 will compete in the 1st place match, while the losing teams will compete in the 3rd place match.
Prizes (TBD) will be awarded to all 4 players on the team that wins 1st place.
Spectators are invited to watch free of charge. Family and friends are welcome to attend and cheer for their teams.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase inside the Adventure Quest facility while watching the matches.
All participants will receive updates and correspondence via email, including schedule changes and important announcements.
Team captains will receive the same email correspondence but may also be contacted via phone when necessary to coordinate with their team.
Team captains must be willing to communicate via text and/or call.
Refunds will only be issued if the league is canceled.
If a player drops out, a substitute will be chosen from the waitlist to fill the vacated spot on the team. This substitute will replace the player free of charge.
If a player is unavailable, captains will be given a list of potential alternates.
Alternates must be the same gender as the missing player.
If the league is full, please sign up for the waitlist to be registered as a potential alternate.
We look forward to a fun and competitive league experience!
